The Mamdani Moments

POSTS #14, 72, 74, 91 for starters. And as always, the devil us in the details:
You misread things, and badly. Mamdani's plans are only just now getting started. The flight is not going to happen overnight. It didn't happen that way elsewhere. But it did happen. It could take 10 years or more to really see the effect from this, and in part that'll depend on how long Mamdani is in office and who succeeds him.

The "Rust Belt," the fall of Detroit "Motor City," the shift of what was then the 'Silicon Valley' of the East Coast to California, and then a second shift of it to Arizona and Texas, didn't happen in a few months. It took years of bad government mismanagement and policy to drive industry and The Rich away.

In Newport Rhode Island, there's a stretch of road called "Millionaire's Row" from the time of the Robber Barons. There are huge mansions from that era scattered across the state. Today, they are more historical curiosities than occupied residences. The money went elsewhere.

Mamdani and Hochel are doing the same thing in NY. The Rich may not leave tomorrow, or next week, but they're already thinking about it and it's going to happen if the Left keeps up as they are doing now.

if it takes 10 years or more correlating it directly back to Mamdani as opposed to all the other things happening in society and government is IMPOSSIBLE to do.

At best you can speculate it is PART of the issues that caused flight but in no way would you be able to say it was the cause.

Mamdani is just a symptom of a bigger disease.

TA...something has got to be fucking done to stop the disparity from progressing without accouting for the needs of the people.

Why are you so intent on refusing to have anything happen?

Does it have something to do with why you refuse to answer that question of mine?

CAN YOU SEE THAT IT DOES. FORCE YOURSELF TO SEE IT.

Get rid of some of government. Bring back personal responsibility.
Why are you so intent on refusing to have anything happen?

Because government made the problem and more government won't fix it.

The most economically stratified nations on the planet are generally the ones that have the most intrusive, even oppressive governments.

It's amusing to watch you grasp at straws to try and prove your initial conventions and assertions on this topic. With each link I provide that debunks what you put forth, you come back with "well, you just wait and see" and then throw out "examples" that are not indicative of the exact current financial, social or economic situation in NYC. Bottom line: fools like you keep carrying water for those who use you as doormats and ignore the historical facts that NYC wealthy are still here despite 30 years of reaganomics (prior to which they oaid a higher tax rate) and threats of evacuation if they are taxed a little more.

Do continue your wishful thinking as the Cheeto Jeezus regime screws you into the ground. The rest of us will fight the powers that be.

They are exiting. Denying won't make it go away.
Argument from randU fallacies. Random numbers are not data.
And Sqauwkie lies about content of what debunks his assertions, thinking his opinions, supposition a conjecture are in par with valid sourced facts. Then he gets on his "fallacy" tricycle. He's done.
