Majority of US military sites in Middle East damaged by Iran, CNN investigation reveals

A war that never had to happen. Rushed into it, poorly prepared, and it didn't go well. And the opponent was just Iran—a country without advanced weapons. If this war just fizzles out in some unclear way, that would be a real embarrassment for U.S. military power. It would be a total psychological defeat. I don't think it'll end that way. The U.S. leadership is probably trying to build consensus now, and they'll have to put more into this.
This is the dumbest of Americas dumb wars.

And Ya, almost everyone on my information network thinks it is not over, and that it will get worse for the bungling dying empire.

A US investigation has confirmed Iran’s precision strikes severely damaged American military infrastructure across the Persian Gulf, causing losses exceeding $5 billion and forcing partial base closures. The scale of the damage, aided by alleged Russian and Chinese intelligence, has shaken regional alliances and exposed vulnerabilities in US forward deployment strategy.

Your bigotry wins enmity for your cause.

From who? Oh yeah, terrorist fans and antisemitic cretins. Good.

Keep your medieval cult to yourselves, and nobody would be bombing your stupid asses. Soon the oil will be gone and you can go back to raping each other's sheep and murdering each other over waterholes as the West abandons you desert rats to find your own level of degenerate savagery unhindered by outsiders.

Such angry and misdirected words! You have been misinformed.

For comparison of scale in spending / losses here, California has spent over $231 billiion--with a B, billion--on a choo choo train to nowhere. That project is likely to come to an end with not one inch of actual rail line laid down. Note, that this is roughly 75% of Iran's current national GDP on its own.

Let's say the US has spent $30 billion on kicking the shit out of Ira. That's about 7.5 times LESS than the country spent on an idiot train project. Or, take California's (yea, we have one stupid state here) $2.2 billion Ivanpah solar plant that shutdown after failing miserably.

So, while you gleefully point out the minor monetary losses the US has had in curb stomping Iran, it's really nothing in terms of what the US spends on stupidness at home all the time.

The United States is the “only pirate in the world that possesses aircraft carriers”, Rezaei, who is also a member of Iran’s Expediency Discernment Council and a former commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), wrote on X on Sunday warning that such carriers will face destruction if tensions escalate.

It came after US President Donald Trump unabashedly admitted that the American Navy is acting “like pirates” in carrying out Washington’s naval blockade of Iranian ports.Last month, Trump ordered the US naval forces to block the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic waterway through which about 20 percent of the world’s oil passes.

Iran’s ability to confront “pirates” is no less than its ability to “sink warships, Rezaei said in his post.“

Prepare to face a graveyard of your carriers and forces, just as the wreckage of your aircraft was left behind in Isfahan,” he added.
