Give me the link to the new york poll.
No, you go research it yourself asswipe, and if I'm wrong, you can priss back over here and tell everybody! The OVERWHELMING majority of New Yorker's as well as non-retarded Americans, are OPPOSED to the mosque being built at this site. Not just by a couple of percent within the margin of error, but by huge gaping margins. Only and abject fucktard would attempt to argue that isn't the case.
At this point in the news cycle, polls aren't worth shit.
Really? Polls which show 68% ...75% ...80% of Americans share the same sentiment, aren't "worth shit?" That's funny, because if this were some issue you were pushing for, and this many people supported it, you would be crowing about it non-stop! It's funny how polls "aren't worth shit" only when it's something that you are against.
Because what people imagine they know about this local zoning issue, is not the same as what the actual facts are.
Wake up and pay attention, this is MORE than a local zoning issue, the president confirmed that the other day. You see, it WAS a local zoning issue, but you cats took the genie out of the bottle and paraded around with her for 3 days, calling her your girlfriend, now the genie doesn't want to go back into the 'local zoning issue' bottle! I realize that is part of the liberal talking points now, but really dude... it fails! YOUR PRESIDENT made it MORE than a LOCAL issue, by flapping his big purple lips about it. If he had kept his yap shut, and if all of you had remained consistent with "it's a local zoning issue-- no comment" then, you might be able to fly this duck, but that's not what happened, is it? You tried to make it into a political issue, and you succeeded! Congrats!
Wingnuts have been screaming for a month that this is a mosque on ground zero, and dedicated to islamic victory on 9/11. And its been repeated so often on Drudge, Fox News, and cable TV that that canard has entered the popular conciousness. It has nothing to do with reality.
It has always been correctly reported that the site is not at ground zero, but two blocks away, there has never been any false reporting on the location. Although not AT ground zero exactly, the building suffered damage from the falling debris from Mohamed Atta's "missile" used to deal a victorious blow on the Great Satan. The planned name for the center is "Cordoba" which is coincidentally, the name of the Spanish city which was conquered by Islam and made the capitol of their Islamic Caliphate. Even "moderate" Muslims agree this is a Trophy Mosque! YOU are the one who is completely split from reality here!
Kind of like when you made up fantastical stories of WMD's and nukes pointed at america by Saddam? A lot of people fell for that bullshit. I didn't.
Ahhh yes... Let's divert the topic to a discussion of WMD's and Bush! How fucking predictable!
It's not a mosque, its not at ground zero, and it involves respectable american muslims. Oddly enough, that's not the way Fox News, Drudge, talk radio, and much of cable TV are portraying it.
That's because it IS a mosque, and it IS in proximity of ground zero, and it WAS the location where part of Atta's victory missile landed! It is being built by Muslims who think 9/11 happened as a result of US policy, who believe the US should be "Sharia compliant", and who refuse to denounce Hammas as a terror organization.
Any idea why - as in your iraq war sales job- the fantasies are way out in front of the facts?
Well, good luck with this new angle of trying to tie this to the Iraq War, I guess when you are losing badly, you really have to grasp at any straw you can to make your arguments, huh?
Zapped in the Brain: WOW...one talking point after another...
Yeah, you guys are full of those today, what's up with that? ....Local zoning issue.... not a mosque... not at ground zero... moderate Muslims... Iraq, WMD, Bush... Glenn Beck... right wing nutjobs... One talking point after another!
