When LBJ passed the Voting Rights Act, he said we have lost the southern vote for a generation. It turned out much longer. The Dixiecrats were Democrats in name, but not in deed or their votes. They voted for the Republican platforms and policies. The Democratic Party fought Jim Crow, but the Dixiecrats kept it in place,

Georgia is 32% Black, and its Congressional representatives are 31% Black, so about right in representation. Where the heck did Censored come up with "over 60%." There are 13 representatives from Georgia currently, 4 are Democrats, 9 are Republicans, and an extra one is vacant. All the Democrats are Black, but all the Republicans are white. That means Democrats are severely underrepresented due to gerrymandering.
The Republican plan would be to split Atlanta among the 14 districts. So each district would have a sliver of Atlanta, and then a lot of rural white Georgia. The hope would be to barely win all 14 seats.
The way this goes bad(for the Republicans) is that there is a shift across the board against Republicans. If they create districts they think they will win 52% to 48%, and there is a ten point shift, they lose all the districts.
It is much safer to have some (near) 100% Democratic districts, with many 70% Republican districts. That is the old system, and it has worked for Republicans for decades now.
