When you start your own church you can tell the established Churchs they should not on issues that tip into politics, like War and Peace, Poverty and helping the most vulnerable, how to deal with the 'stranger' or 'migrants' across the world.
But real life says almost all of these areas will be addressed in various political context (how to fund, who to fund, how to treat new comers, etc) and ALSO BY THE VARIOUS CHURCHES.
It is simply stupid to say the Church should stay out areas that politics also addresses as that tends to be MOST of the biggest issues the world deals with and the Church has an obvious place taking positions in them and ALWAYS HAS.
