Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who is on a three-nation official tour to coordinate matters on bilateral relations and regional developments, has left Islamabad after meeting with top Pakistani officials, including Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
Araghchi and the accompanying delegation were seen off by Pakistani officials as well as Iranian Ambassador to Islamabad, Reza Amiri Moghadam.
The top diplomat arrived in the Pakistani capital last night and held his first working meeting with Field Marshal Asim Munir, Commander of the Pakistani Army.
Earlier today, Araghchi also met with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, with focus of the discussion being bilateral relations, current regional developments, including Islamabad's diplomatic efforts in the wake of the US-Israeli imposed war on Iran.
Sharif expressed his pleasure at his meeting with Araghchi, saying the two Islamic nations had a very warm and sincere exchange of views on the current situation in the region.
He further said that the issues of common interest, including boosting relations between Pakistan and Iran were discussed at the meeting.
Muscat is the second destination of Araghchi's three-nation trip that will also take him to Moscow.
