Okay, let me ask you that question I said I would ask. (Actually, it is a few questions.) I've asked it of people who agree more with you than with me on this issue...AND NEVER HAVE GOTTEN A REPLY.We are in disagreement there. Like it or not, guys like Bezos and Musk are what move progress and wealth for a great many, not everyone, but many, forward. Sure, they make billions. But there are lots of others that make hundreds of thousands to millions because of them. They don't profit in a vacuum where they're the only one making all the money.
Predicate: Right now the top 1% of households own 31.7% of the nation's total wealth. The top 10% own 66.5% of the nation's total wealth. The bottom 50% own only 2 1/2% of the nation's wealth.
Question: At what point would the top 10% have to own before you consider it too much for a healthy situation? Would the top 10% owning 90% of the total wealth be okay with you? 95%? 99%?
Alternately, what at what point would the top 1% have to own before you consider it too much for a healthy situation? Would it be okay with you if the top 1% owned 95% of the nation's wealth?
By the way, TA...right now there are almost 1000 billionaires in America...and those slightly fewer than 1000 families own almost 5% of the total wealth of our nation.
Just sayin'.
Let's discuss why you feel the way you do...once we get an idea of where it would start to concern you.
