Archaeology of the New Testament

I'm right there with you about the golden rule. If we had more of that, we'd need a lot less of the other rules. It's like Jesus was trying to gut overregulation. It's how I know that Congressional Christians really only claim to be Christian to get elected, i.e. if they were really Christians, we'd have a flat tax, called "Give unto the Treasury what is the Treasury's"

Unfalsifiability will do that. What we need is for today's Christianity to be applied, not kept at bay by fear-weilding leftists who effectively instill panic in Christian politicians.

Jesus actually said that the golden rule is the sum of the law.

You make a point of mentioning that often, and for good reason. The golden rule is one of the more practical rules that have bang for the buck. I do believe, however, that you have slightly misinterpreted it to mean that it is somehow the only law; the Sermon on the Mount should serve as an indication that the other laws are also there for a reason.

Wow. You telling me what to believe is expected of a teenager's mentality, but aren't you over 40?

When you are ready to have an honest discussion, please let me know. Seriously. You're not stupid nor poorly educated, but you obviously have a problem with "Christians".

The Abbie Normals are always the ones who catch my attention. LOL
Kettle fallacy.
