No, I mean to tell you that every president since FDR has a team of staffers who go out there and find out which way the political wind is blowing every day! The president isn't a fuckwit like you, who has to wait for Rasmussen to conclude a "scientific" poll in a few days, he has extensive and advanced resources you don't have, and that's what he uses.

But there was poll data before Obama said anything indicating where the public was on this issue and none of that changed between Friday and Saturday. It wasn't any mystery.
 
What was alarming about his Friday night remarks? He simply affirmed the first amendment???? Something u agree with him about!!!!!

This is true, which makes you wonder why the president said anything at all. The Democrats running in the midterms certainly didn't need this as a distraction. Most of them were caught totally flatfooted at his comments, they had not even been briefed as to what he was going to say, and many had no response to inquiring media over the weekend. Some did like Harry Reid and distance themselves from this toxic issue, and by Sunday, the White House was in full spin mode. We've spent all of today, hearing how the president never said he supported the mosque, none of you fucktards ever supported the mosque, no one on the left wants the mosque to be built, you were just standing up for the constitution.... blah blah blah.... It's on record, you said what you said, you took the position you took, and now you will pay the political price for that. Don't lie to people now and treat them as if they are stupid... it will only make it worse!

No, he did more than "simply" affirming the 1st amendment, just like you did more than "simply" affirming it. You both were very vocal in support of building the mosque, to illustrate our "tolerance" and "acceptance" of Islam. You went WAY out of your way to drag the right and republicans through the mud for raising objection and outrage at the idea, claiming they were trampling liberty and the constitution to do so. You ranted on for 3 days about it, in thread after fucking thread, the board was FULL of them! Now.... suddenly.... the flowers are blooming and birds are chirping, and sugar wouldn't melt in your mouth... you were merely "simply" trying to defend the poor little constitution... from those mean unreasonable republicans who wanted to do God knows what to all the Muslims... while you were just sitting there with unmelted sugar in your mouth, trying to reason with them!
