What have we got to visit other than Las Vegas or Manhattan?Despite more people taking international trips globally, the United States is losing ground as a top destination, according to new data.
Last year was one of the best years for the travel and tourism sector, with a 4.1% increase in gross domestic product growth, according to the World Travel & Tourism Council's (WTTC) latest economic impact research, sponsored by Chase Travel.
There were 80 million more international travelers in 2025 than in 2024. But many of them are skipping the United States for other locales.
Recent data by the NTTO also showed a 20% decline in Canadian travelers, or 4.2 million fewer visitors, once a major market for the United States.
Previous USA TODAY reporting found several reasons why international travelers are skipping the United
States. Among them are fears of border detainment and gun violence.
The drop in international visitors could spell trouble for the U.S. economy, as travel is one of the country's largest export services.

The attraction here is if you can somehow come up with a tourist visa you used to be able to then just melt into the landscape here leaving the second half of your airline ticket unused. And as an added bonus you could drop your chinkling out of your ass while on vacation and never leave.
Now that this shit isn't flying anymore of course there are less of them. Simple supply and demand.

^ That is his way of saying he does not work in that major part of the US economy which is tourism related or up or down stream of it and as magat why would he care about all the Americans who do and are being impacted.
The primary identifier for any magat as I have said many times prior is they all lack any empathy for others and can only feel something if it impacts them directly or their family.

My cousin works for a Canadian company that bought the company he works in as it's US subsidiary.
Every year, twice a year, the CEO, CFO and Vp Sales go down to the US office, for about 3 days, for strategy sessions with the team and they have been doing it for about 6 years.
This year the CEO (black) was turned back to Canada by US Customs as he did not have a Visa, something no one in his company has got for such short trips were they can see your return ticket and thus are not staying. His CFO and Sales VP who went in on earlier flight had no such issues.
Those type of stories abound now with people of color just going to something like a conference or training session in the US facing extra scrutiny and being turned back as their white colleagues pass thru.

No the opposite is true.
Economies with shrinking career bases do not prosper more than ones with increasing career bases. There is a direct correlation between having a bigger base of job options and that economy being stronger and weathering downturns better as one sector may be hurt but the other thrives.
The 'just retrain crowd' within magats both fight any govt help to retrain while pushing jobs like 'clean coal' for these same people.
Again it speaks to that lack of empathy they have as they callously hand wave away their jobs while telling themselves it's ok as they can just retrain.

Because their job kissing ass is easier than learning a skill. They get hungry they will move forward with their lives and America will be stronger. We're short millions of blue collar workers because kissing someone's ass for tips is easier. Get rid of the parasite industries and build and infrastructure.
