Just as the Trump DOJ basically is undoing the conviction of Bannon by telling the Courts they want the convictions basically vacated and that leaves no lawyers who can argue to the judge the other side of why it should stay in place, with both Bannon's lawyers and the DoJ arguing the same thing to the Judge.... this WILL be followed up by Bannon filing suit for millions and the DoJ "settling" it.

And just how they used this same tactic to pay Mike Flynn millions despite his guilty verdict....

Now too the DOJ is moving to vacate all the Jan6th verdicts, which will then see a wave of lawsuits and then "settlements".

I would say that's reasonable for the vast majority of them. After all, to have a conspiracy they would have had to conspire first. I'd say that riot was largely spontaneous and not something organized.

So a POTUS, his DoJ and Terry should decide that and not Courts and Juries. Is that your view?

What do you think if all future Potus who disagree with verdicts and convictions... should they also just get their DoJ to vacate the entire thing where they can? Or only if 'Terry' also agrees? Are you the key in this? and courts and juries really play no role in your view if you and POTUS and DOJ, incoming disagree?

The courts don't bring charges. Prosecutors do. Conspiracy charges require an underlying conspiracy. Conspiracies are not spontaneous. They require planning and a meeting of minds. A riotous mob is not usually made up of conspirators.

these are settled cases.

Aired in court. Defended and lost. the Jury has spoken and guilt confirmed

So again when it comes to undoing Court and jury verdicts do you think any Potus should be able to do that and is that only if Terry agrees or would you support a Potus like Biden doing it, even if you disagreed with those he was undoing the cases of?

Im pretty sure the conspiracy was nothing more than a demoncrap contrivance.

Oh well

same question.

if this was Obama or Biden just looking back at all convictions and choosing to undo those for those they wanted to, would you support that even if you disagreed with who they choose?

Or if a future Dem Potus, undid all convictions against migrants here so that they would not have those as issues would you be ok?

QPeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,
You seem to support the court decision that favors your side of the aisle.
Have you suddenly gotten even more stupid?

Heres the thing it was once decided by a court that slavery was okie dokie. It also a fact a person can be held liable for rape even when the gold digging whore who supposedly got raped couldn't even tell the court when the supposed rape happened. You guys should have put a candidate in 2024 and you wouldn't have had to deal with this. I feel dreadful about it

Of course it was planned in advance. Even trump said prior to the riot, "be there, will be wild!"

Yes, the January 6 insurrection was organized in advance by members of extremist groups like the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys, who used encrypted messaging and crowdfunding to plan the attack. They aimed to disrupt the certification of the 2020 presidential election results, which they falsely believed were fraudulent.

An irrelevant appeal to conclusion. "The science is settled!" another version of this. Courts make mistakes. So do prosecutors.

That isn't the final word on things. Appeals can be made and the courts can revisit cases that are long "settled" for various reasons. If this weren't true, there wouldn't be the occasional murder or such being found innocent years after conviction.

It's not what I agree to or not. It's about the court reconsidering the charges particularly after the originals were made at a highly politicized and emotionally charged time.

Jury trial verdicts are irrelevant appeals to conclusion is about the most stupid thing you have said of many momentus stupid things.

Jury trials and their conclusions, albeit not perfect, are what separate the civilized world and democracy from fascism and dictatorships.

But I guess that is why you think what you do.

And the difference is in that other cases where things are over turned in instances like this of serious crimes it is because new and compelling evidence has presented itself.

You cannot name any examples like this where these have been investigated over and over and findings stand and they have gone thru all the appeals processes and lost and the sole reason it gets undone is because the POTUS wants it and the DoJ has no articulated defensible reason they can give as to why the jury verdict should be undone and the guilty released.

If the jury's word is final, then why is there an appeals process?

Because a just process has checks and balances like i already said.

What a just process DOES NOT have is one person alone who nullifies prosecutions in this way as if they never happened. Pardoning is one thing but this is way worse.

This is 3rd world shit and unless you say you would be ok with a future AOC or Bernie type POTUS going thru the ranks of convictions that tend tooffend their leftist politics and undoing them and so on and so on, as every new admin comes in, you are a raging hypocrite
