General consesus is that not all Muslams are evil and that the first amendment prevents the governement from doing anything about a Mosque being build.

Why is this an issue?

WHy is any elected officials opinion relevant once we agree on the 1st Amendment?

Are we really going to go back to using religion as a wedge and patriotism as a bludgeon? I had really hoped the Conservatives were done with that.

The current state of islam is very radicalized and political. They need about a hundred years of reform, and set an example of allowing other religions into their societies first, before they should be trusted. They are murdering theocratic terrorists at this point, no different that a middle ages crusader ransacking islamic lands for god.

There should be no immigration from muslim controlled nations until they stop turning out brainwashed kill bots for allah with their riches.

I know your opinion, I understand your opinion and most Americans, especally the educated ones, disagree.

My point is for the rest of us who belive differently, this issue should not be used to score policital points, its harmfull to the American political culture.

If you honestly belive as you have stated above, you have a perfectly legitatmate argument and you are not being disengenous by making it. If you are Newt or Rubio, you are trying to play to people who belive like you do, while still admitting you know better.

The ones who disagree with me are merely ignorant about Islam. Or they understand islam, and want to immerse america into theocracy. I don't think lefty totalitarians would be opposed to using religion to subjugate america. Righties either. All the "educated ones" are traitors to freedom.

Religion is actually uniting the anti-american elitist globalists, who wish to subjugate america by any means necessary, for fairness.

I'm not voting. All citizens should stop voting. The "lesser of two evils" vote strategy is how the oligarchy keeps validating itself, sanctifying it's deeds with an appearance of voter support.

Uhmmm... Did conservatives "trick" The Obama into coming out in favor of the Trophy Mosque? Did they "force" him to make a statement about it? It appears, the ones who want to make this into a controversial political issue, are DEMOCRATS who want to criticize the right for being religiously intolerant.

HE did not come out in favor of it, please show me a quote where he did anything other than affirming the 1st Amendment.

LMAOooo... by the end of this week, the public uproar will be so loud, he will probably have to give another press conference to explain how he didn't really mean what he said before, that he was completely misunderstood, and this has all been distorted by Fox News to make him look bad!

That's what this idiot keeps doing, over and over again. He runs out on that limb with his saw and starts hacking away, before he realizes what the fuck he's doing. He did it with the Cambridge incident, Shirley Sherrod, and he is doing it now. When he realizes how badly he fucked up, he plays the 'victim' card and points a finger at Fox News.

REid said what Obama said, he just added a bit more which was his personal opinion, because he is a federal official I dont belive he should have due to the 1st amendment.
