I doubt the rest of the world is willing to let America cut off their supplies for long.

The Gulf region (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Iran, etc.) is the world’s largest exporter of key nitrogen fertilizers. It accounts for ~36% of global urea exports and ~29% of global ammonia exports (2023–2025 average), plus significant shares of phosphates and sulfur. In normal times, up to 30% of global fertilizer trade physically passes through the Strait of Hormuz.

Nitrogen fertilizers (urea, ammonia) rely on the Haber-Bosch process, which needs massive amounts of natural gas as feedstock. The Gulf has some of the world’s cheapest and most abundant gas (much of it associated with oil production). Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Iran operate enormous complexes that export at scale to India, Brazil, Africa, Europe, and the U.S.

Trump screamed to open the Strait. When that didn't happen, he ordered a blockade to close it from the other end. Now his MAGA morons are declaring victory! LOL

Meanwhile, back in the US, prices of everything, especially gasoline, are rising and our economy is faltering.

Midterms are coming to America.

I very much doubt that the current administration will survive very long after January next year. The next president will be very likely to avoid repeating the mistakes that could lead to impeachment and removal from office.

This is the issue with so-called "democracy". It's mob rule, and no leader can survive if the mob isn't benefitted.
