They are. But to say what you say about Islam is equivelent to saying the KKK and Hitler are true representatives of Christianity.

And I've done that where? I've never seen you try and apply that standard to Muslims, but haven't a qualm about doing so with KKK and Christians.
I think you're missing the point, Annie. The KKK is to Christianity what Al Qaeda is to Islam.

I said 10 years; because that's not that removed from the here and now; whereas it does appear that some of those professing the Muslim faith have committed such behavior.

But for some reason; we charge those who would do so, as criminals and spend a lot of resources hunting them down.
We will investigate all known avenues, until we can identify them and then we will question their relatives and friends.
We will put survalence on anyone we think may be aiding them and will search until they are brought to justice.
And those that do follow the religion will condemn the criminals.

Don't wait, I don't play that game. But a good borrow from that loon, Maineman. See, I said that I don't demonize all Muslims. I don't equate Muslims with terrorists. I do however take their religion and teachings seriously. That would include the exhortations regarding subjugation and conquering. Some orthodox take it seriously, others not so much so.
Are there Christians who manage to rationalize bombings or murders of abortion clinics or providers? Obviously the answer is yes.
Now I also am able to look at how many of each group are orthodox in their beliefs or rather think they are and how many actually act on those beliefs. I also note how many of the 'mainstream members' of the faiths, denounce, condemn, and hold accountable those actors.
Putting all religions on an equal basis at different periods of history, probably not such a great idea.
The KKK can claim the are Christian, but Christians' denounce them as Christians...THAT is what counts. Anyone can make a claim.
