I think Trump let Iran off light. If it were me and we were at war with Iran, I'd have ordered say the bombing of Greater Tunb island using 40 B-52 (or equivalent in payload) strikes of 1000 lbs. dumb bombs on it. The aiming point would be the center of the 10.3 sq km island and the objective would be (there's nothing but a military base on it) to crater the entirety of the island to look like the moon. The underground bunkers on it would be buried in the rubble. Their contents inaccessable as there'd be no one left on the island to dig them out. Every building, the small harbor, the airfield, would all be destroyed. Iran would have to start completely over to use the island as a base.
Then I'd do Lesser Tunb the same way. True carpet bombing of targets like any and all airfields and airports would be thing. Just dumb bomb them into craters and ruins. Do the same to every railyard and major station in the country. Knock down every bridge we can find. Yes, demolish their power plants. If you don't want to hit their nuclear power plant directly, take down all the transmission lines for several miles that come out of it.
Don't talk at all to Iran about anything. Let them come begging for end to the destruction.

It was stupid to start this war and give up on the Third Option of funding Iranian dissidents. Now Trump has united the Iranians more than any US president in the past 40+ years. He's fucked over Americans by blowing tax payer dollars on this war, stripping them of healthcare subsidies, and breaking his campaign promises about groceries, forever wars and the Epstein files.
