The whole "imminent threat" thing was a canard the marxists used during the run-up to the Iraq War. But, all you have to do to shut the marxists down is ask them to define what "imminent threat" is.

Now I think there are many reasons to argue against bombing other countries and to be honest, I still don't know how I feel about the whole Iran thing.

But, "imminent threat" is probably the weakest of arguments the left can ever make. And yes they are hypocrites because they don't mind when democrats bomb the shit out of other countries. They aren't anti war, they are just anti republicans doing it.
