A $3 million dollar case does not include family members passionately addressing the court. People hire attorneys to address the court. Addressing the court passionately is contempt of court.

I think we should electrocute all the lawyers at the firm they hired.

On a more serious note, I'd say the following.

Any reasonable person knows that live electrical cables are a potential hazard to their life and safety.

A reasonable person knows the cables are insulated and likely within other protective coverings like boxes, conduit, etc., because those keep you safe from them.

If a criminal is stupid enough to breech those protective devices and then attempt to take a live electrical cable they deserve to die. The Darwin Awards needs candidates.
 
True or not, there are many frivolous lawsuits demanding ridiculous amounts of money, and courts are siding with them.
Hell, you can win millions claiming being molested, and not even have to know what year it happened. WTF!
