Unless the cop was there, then the only information he had was from the two involved and maybe witnessess.

Therefore: Did your father lie and tell the cop that the man flipped him off and then made a motion to poke him in the face, or did the other person say that he made a motion to poke him in the face.

I say lie; because you never included any such info in your telling of the tale and if it's important now, why wasn't it important at the beginning??
Plus you told the story and made it appear that the cop agreed with the notion, that someone flipping the bird deserves to have their finger broke.

I admit i love him. But the media would not be such a cheerleader for this person if it were a lowly passenger.

The media loved this woman who mixed it up with Southwest Airlines over wearing a skimpy outfit on a flight.
