Indeed. Oil futures are now around $85/barrel, which is down almost 7% on the day. Fear mongering drove it up, and it won't be long before the fear mongering ends and the price comes down again.

Even with the fear mongering, I'm still paying less at the pump right now than I did during most of the Autopen's term.

Gas just came down 10c by my neck of the woods... $3.099 atm.

We're still pretty high here, Avg in King County is $4.87, due mostly to taxes (including a climate tax and the RTA tax)...about $1.63 higher than a neighboring State.

Based on my social experimental research the ELCA is the most liberal church I've run across here. The United Methodists, Unitarians, and Episcopalians are quite liberal too.

Most mainstream Xtian sects tend to be more liberal than the Baptists, Assembly of God, JWs, and nondem fundies.

Good for you. I know a guy who has a pension, an annuity, social security, and a solid VA disability pension. The latter gives him free health care.

And we have three pensions, monthly investment income, and social security. So what? Toxic js just frantically trying to convince us that she was a teacher, has a pension which she called an annuity until today. No one believes this, or cares. I did appreciate though how she once again showed us her lack of empathy for the millions of Americans whose 401(k)s are cratering. Esp. worrisome for those approaching retirement age.
