Granted, this is a horrible strawman, I agree with the principle. If 100% of Americans vote to restrict free speech or violate someone's civil liberties, the courts are still obligated to do their sacred duty and strike it down.

How is it a fundamental right? Lots of folks want to get married but can't find someone compatible. Zappas is an example of that.

But the Constitution guarantees "the pursuit of happiness", not happiness. Personally I'd be happy with three wives:
1. Real nerdy and smart, to make a living and support me;
2. One big and fat to cook for me;
3. One sexy and hot, to, well, you know.

Well, look, with the change on gay marriage, you may well have the ability to have three wives soon, it honestly wouldn't bother me one bit, but you might have to check with wife #1! Women are kind of funny about those things, these days. There was a time when they couldn't protest, but now, it is a different world, at least, here in the West and you could always move to where they allow a man to have multiple wives, try Utah!

No one is preventing anyone from "marrying".....and no one is voting on fundamental rights in reality....

but the society nor government has the obligation to condone or recognize any marriage it they so desire...

Get married yurt and go fuck your asses off until they bleed...no one will stop you.....just don't expect others to congratulate you on your wedding if they don't wany to.....

Absolutly right little girl....society has rules and government makes laws and we all live by agreed to regulations.....thats what a society does for its own good.....and one of those rules is NO to sex with minors....NO to rape....NO to sex with animals and NO to marriage between same sex people....

"Marriage" was NEVER recognized between same sex couples,....NEVER in this society anyway......even people other than homos have rights too....rights to determine as a society what is acceptable and what is NOT...
