AI without Universal Basic Income is genocide.

What i laugh at is that i have seen both Elon Musk and Sam Altman say that some of form of UBI will be necessary and need to happen as AI advances as there way of replying to mass job losses and tying to quell any fears.

But i have yet to see a single interviewer ask the very obvious follow up question... 'WILL YOU LOBBY THE GOVERNMENT AND SUPPORT UBI with your AI company profits'?

And to Elon if he answered yes, then the follow up question would be 'why should we believe that when you fight any raise of your taxes now to help balance the social imbalance', 'how does more billions or trillions from AI suddenly change you fighting this?'

which notable dems are against AI?
seems like all the dummies are paid off on this one.
it is too late to be 'against AI' as China, Russia, the EU will all plow ahead if the US does not and then all that means is that the US would be truly fucked as even the concept of UBI would be beyond them.

US manufacturing employment, which includes factory jobs, stood at approximately 12.59 million in January 2026, up slightly by 5,000 from December 2025 but still below the pre-pandemic average of 12.613 million (2017-2019).

AI is indeed a contributing factor in some job displacements, particularly for repetitive tasks like assembly, packaging, and quality control, where robotics and AI have accelerated automation.

If you offer employers nothing but weaker performance in repetitive tasks like assembly, packaging, and quality control, whose fault is that?
