I am told that historically Western assaults on Persia dont tend to go well. .......this one certainly looks like it is going poorly.
I just want to point out that whenever pro Iran outlets discuss news they always discuss the future. Irans hardest strikes will be incoming. There will be oil above 100$. There will be economies destroyed. The US gulf allies will turn on the US. China and Russia will send some secret tech to Iran. US will have 500 casualties.
Its always to something that will happen in the future. They never discuss the now. Because the now looks very bad.

Kurds are also there
UAE just seized Iranian Assets
Iran navy has been destroyed
Missile/drone launches are 90% down.
Iran under constant bombardment
Hezbollah declared illegal by Lebanese government.
Can it be true that the Iranians are hiding their best weapons or that China is sending some secret tech? Sure. All I can say is they better arrive pretty damn quick because the now is looking worse and worse.

The problem for Trump is that Iran knows we don't have patience for a long, drawn out war. All Iran has to do is tread water and wait for gas prices and pressure from Americans to make continuing the war impossible.
We dont have the capacity for a long war.....either militarily or keeping this society together or the global economy functioning, or the banks alive.
How can they surrender if it is not a war?

There is talk that the Trump admin is trying to align with and arm local militia strongmen (Kurds, etc) who are willing to take the war to the streets in Iran, in the same way the US put Saddam in power in Iraq. We all know how that ended.
But if they do not do that and the Iranian regime is willing to hang in and control a starving population in much the same way Lil Kim does in N.Korea then Iran will be able to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed for as long as they want. There is simply no way the US can protect ships from one off attacks trying to get thru that tight passage.
