If Trump had called the Women's team, it would have been on the news. Some WH lackey may have placed a phone call on the 23rd to soften the backlash of bad PR Trump garnered with his joke on the women, but Trump himself didn't do it. That's another indicator of Trump's deep-seated misogyny and cowardice.

Toxic deserves an Olympic verbal gymnastics medal, maybe a tin one, for her energetic twists and tumbling trying to first claim that the women's team did not decline for political reasons, and then to insist that they really, really wanted to go but the mean and Trump-hating team captain wouldn't let them. We can give Damo one, as well, for the same ridiculous opinions. lol

It's standard MAGAt AKA White Nationalist ideology to assume that white men make their own decisions but women and brown people can only do as they are told. Weird but true.
