He doesn't pass the hight requirement... he is 6'9" .... max hight is 6'8" .

YOU LOSE @Nomad
What a fucking hillbilly idiot you are.

It was never a serious proposal.

The entire thing was meant symbolically to highlight the fact that trump is sending other people's kids to die, just to distract from his pedophilia, you ignorant hick.

Let's start with "honorable discharge." This shows a lack of knowledge on how the US military works. Bush was a commissioned officer. Officers aren't honorably discharged or receive any sort of discharge. They are commissioned and they are either dismissed from service by the military / government for cause or they can resign the commission. If they retire, their commission remains in place and they can be recalled to service.

Bush's unit flew the F-102. In 1972, this aircraft was being retired from service. Bush's unit and the pilots in it, had yet to be retrained on some other aircraft. If Bush was seen as surplus to the unit--likely given his junior rank and status--there was no need for his presence. It's far more likely he was in a non-flying status and whether he took his annual flight exam or not that wouldn't have changed.

Bush likely got permission to go to Alabama and the assignment there was merely perfunctory as he was in the national guard. He likely just checked in with them--much as John Kerry had to with the Bainbridge MD reserve center--while he was there.

Because the likely reason was Bush was in a non-flying status due to lack of anything to fly he was trained on.

Difference. The doctor said he had them. What is the military supposed to do with that? On the other hand, signing up for ROTC and saying ON PAPER YOU SIGNED that you would participate, and then quitting right after you get your draft wavier says you intentionally were dodging the draft.

Clinton's.

News flash... All that typingโ˜๐Ÿผwas for nothing.... because I didn't read three words of it. ๐Ÿ˜†

Draft Barron now...

His daddy should ask him to step up and serve like the young Brit royalty all do, since this war is a war of choice by his daddy.

Would make a real good statement about how the Trump family was not just using the 'kids of people' for their play wars.
I think it's sufficient, in America, that he submits fairly to the draft like everyone else. If he wants to volunteer, that's fine too. The President isn't royalty and there is no connection to the military for a family like in Britain where royalty serves because its expected.

If his number gets drawn, he gets treated like everyone else. That's how America is supposed to work. If he gets a college deferment (likely right now), and that's available to anyone going to college, he gets one. I have no heartburn with him being treated the same so long as he is treated the same.

Lots of people, from all backgrounds, try and dodge the draft and that's nothing new. In the Civil War, the well-off paid substitutes to take their place. That was allowed. There were others who scammed units offering signing bonuses who'd get the money then desert and try that again somewhere else.

Maybe if he finishes his degree and volunteers for service as an officer. That'd be fine, assuming he qualifies.

I read every word of it. I have 27 years of experience to back it up. I'm not relying on Snopes or some other half assed website.

And, back when I was still in, I was in Bahrain for awhile. The base I was on got hit yesterday. The NSA satellite comm buildings took a hit to one of their main sat comm antennas. The base has been hit several times more.

A building in the diplomatic district took a 9/11-like drone hit. From what I can tell it's about a block from the Radisson where I'd go some Sundays for their awesome all you can eat champaign brunch.

If you or anyone else had done what Bush did you'd have been declared AWOL.

If you were in a higher ranking, position of responsibility like Bush was, it would have ruined your military career.

Bush was AWOL

You know it and I know it.

Thank trump.

Bullshit! You have ZERO idea what you're talking about. You know less than NOTHING. I'm not defending Bush here, but I know how those things work.

This is bullshit too. The National Guard and Reserve don't work the same way as active duty in many respects.
Bush was AWOL

You are relying on idiots to make that claim.

The US has a maximum height restriction of 6'8". Barron is 6'9"
So, the military does. I didn't know that. I once served with a guy everybody called "Lurch" (not the one here). He was like 6, 5 or something. Had to bend down some to go through a ship's hatch and had to watch himself walking in passageways because of the low pipes and cables, etc., in the overhead.

I'm 6'5" I worked with a 6'10" paramedic . He had to duck to come in a regular door. He made me feel like a shrimp.

My dad was 6'3" and he served in WWII. He had worked a night shift on a radar unit in the Philippines. He was sleeping during the day. . A colonel was inspecting the barracks and wanted to let the men that had worked the night shift sleep. My dads legs stuck over the barrack beds. The colonel was tall himself. When he saw dad's leg sticking over the bed he ordered them to build dad a longer bed. So they did it.

Not sufficient.

Trump had very strong views about prior POTUS sending other peoples kids to die for endless needless wars. It should be expect.

To show some consistency he would not only get his kid(s) to enlist but he would give them a good front line type position.

In your surreal world, even if Barron did sign up today and was sent to some desk job somewhere because that's the job the military gave him, you'd bitch that he wasn't in combat. Then, if he was sent to a combat unit and in a relatively safe position as say, someone in a higher headquarters unit, you'd bitch he wasn't in the front lines.

Nothing you say is credible because you're a known liar.

You'll say anything to support your side.

Liar.

So trump can bypass laws and the Constitution left and right, he can defy court orders and it's business as usual.

But you want us to think he couldn't get a height waiver for his son???

Puh - lease :palm:

How stupid do you think the rest of the world is?

If trump is going to send other people's sons and daughters to get their asses shot and blown to pieces, he should send his own.

If you'd take your face out of his ass crack long enough, you'd see it too.

No halfwit, this is not my position. This is the magat position...

If magats are going to bitch about Dems sending their kids to NeoCon wars, when the history clearly shows Republicans prior and magats now are the NeoCon war mongers then they need to send their kids.
