Mass shooting in Austin by apparent Islamic terrorist

Another mass shooting in Austin TX. This time it's by a Senegalese illegal immigrant that the Obama administration gave legal status to and then made a citizen even though he had a string of arrests.

Mass shooter Ndiaga Diagne, who apparently did this in the name of Allah, entered the US in 2000 and overstayed a tourist visa. In 2006, having racked up at least two criminal counts and convictions married a US citizen and was given legal resident status by the Obama administration. Between that year and 2013 when the Obama administration gave him citizenship, he managed to have a string of additional arrests and convictions.

The FBI, et al., are looking into any connection with the bombing of Iran in this shooting.

Anyway, Diagne shot up a large bar from his vehicle then proceeded to drive around downtown Austin shooting at random people until the police arrived and shot him dead.

  • Criminal history — Reports vary slightly on details and severity. The NY Post describes a "string of busts," including a 2001 arrest in NYC for illegal vending, three sealed arrests in New York between 2008–2016, and an undisclosed Texas arrest. Other outlets (e.g., KXAN, NBC) note he had no extensive known criminal history but confirm a 2022 Texas arrest for a collision with vehicle damage. Some describe him as a "known emotionally disturbed person" in law enforcement contexts. No sources contradict that he had prior arrests/encounters, though they are not portrayed as major felonies preventing naturalization.
  • The article's narrative emphasizes that he gained citizenship "despite" these issues under Democratic administrations—this is interpretive/framed sensationalistically (common in NY Post opinionated style)

See, this is what's the problem with our resident (and national) maga stooges; a right wing rag of filth like the NY POST skews an article so that the reader perceives that this guy was naturalized despite having a "string" of (subliminally suggested) violent arrests ... DESPITE the article itself stating that the arrest records were "sealed".

And here YOU are, a regular person who just did a little digging to sift out ALL the FACTS, which deflates the narrative of the OP and its author.

Mind you, this is a tragedy that should not be exploited for the race-based hysteria that the current regime is using to justify its illegal anti-immigrant actions a 'la I.C.E.

On a side note, I wonder why no once is asking what type of weapons he was using and was the rifle formerly on the 1994 AWB list?

The norm is that someone who has been arrested, and particularly if convicted as a result even of a misdemeanor, is they are no longer eligible for citizenship. Here's a guy that by the time he was granted citizenship had multiple arrests and several convictions. He should have been denied citizenship and deported based on his criminal history alone. Throw in that he originally entered the US illegally (tourist visa overstay).

He wasn't a "refugee," nor was he seeking asylum. He should have been deported long ago.

None of that matters in terms of immigration. Having a record should have disqualified him for citizenship... PERIOD!

There is no indication he had an automatic weapon. It appears he had a semi-automatic and that was probably obtained illegally given his criminal record.

"A single misdemeanor does not automatically disqualify you from U.S. citizenship".

For your education:

3. Having A Criminal Record

The immigration expert will review past criminal history before approving an application. For instance, they will look for any arrests, citations, or any violation of the law that is on a person’s record. Some criminal offenses (though not all) can be reason for an automatic denial of citizenship. Any crime committed by someone who is trying to become a citizen is grounds for an immediate hearing with the immigration court for deportation.

As for the weapon; what "appears" is NOT a solid identification. Instead of babbling speculation as you are want to do, I'll wait for an official statement.

Nobody who enters this country illegally should be allowed to remain for any reason. Period, end of story. If you libs want to live in a third world shit hole, or Islamic theocracy, move to one.

He entered the country illegally, then committed more than one crime prior to his being given citizenship. Multiple arrests and convictions should have disqualified him, PERIOD!
