The great blizzards of 2026

Call me crazy, but unless I'm a doctor or something....NO JOB IS WORTH GETTING OUT IN THIS DAMN SNOW. Its nerve wrecking watching the news each night with drivers sliding, gliding off streets, fights over spaces cleared of snow, etc...stay the hell home. This weather was so given days of warning before it hit...and typical arrogant dumb mf's waited until the last minute to get shit done, duh
Snow? What is this thing you speak of?

Note: As I posted this it is 72 degrees outside and not a cloud, or contrail, in the sky... Perfect for sitting in my

Try 110 degree weather.
I did that back in the 70's.
Lived in the Bahamas for 2 and a half years.
Left to come back it was 105 flew into Orlando and it was only in the 70s and it was cold for us,
Had my dune buggy back then with NY plates on it driving around with my " P " coat on , boy did I get some strange looks.

I hit black ice once and started to spin into the concrete opening walls of an underpass. the only thing that saved me was hitting a dry patch of pavement which straightened me back out narrowly avoiding hitting the wall..
I've done enough actual racing to know that on water or ice and you lose traction and start to spin you:

1. Shove the clutch to the floor (in an automatic put it in neutral)
2. Straighten the wheel and point the vehicle where you want to go

That pretty much fixes the problem unless you are seriously into the spin.

I know,.........but then there's nowhere to hide THE BODIES! :ROFLMAO:
Were put them in the "Texas Basement" (the attic) I have two attics I designed and built two recessed bookshelves and put them in where the attic doors were. They are hidden doors we gained bookshelves and hid the attic accesses. Our cable TV access is in one of the attics I love pointing to the shelf and saying it in there and watching the confused look on the workman's face. When I open it they go "wow that is cool!"

lol. This is absurd really. I live in a state with snow, and I have lived in Texas. Texans cannot drive in icy conditions. Period. Coloradans will beat them every time. I stayed off the roads in ice there because their bald assed tires and total lack of experience made them the most dangerous drivers on ice I had ever seen.
Coming from my own prospective, those with these big trucks refuse to slow down, refuse to surrender to dangerous conditions and are the number one causes of accidents on the road. I shudder to think how many of these immigrant drivers with fake driver liscences are apart of the equations of a lot of these accidents. Not blaming them, but it does put a lot of thoughts in the head.

Or better still stay the fuck off the roads. Americans don't know it yet, BUT THE AUTO INSURANCE INDUSTRY IS JUST SALAVATING OVER ALL THIS...THE HIGH INCREASES, ALL OF US WILL ENDURE IN A FEW MORE MONTHS, WILL BE ASS-TRONOMICAL AND THE POOR PPL WILL ENDURE THE BIGGEST HIKES LIKE WE DO WITH EVERYTHING IN THIS COUNTRY!!

The auto insurance industry runs on a cost+ basis...and it is regulated.....an increase of cost does not necessarily mean an increase of profits.

I've been in more than my fair share of blizzards and am witness to Southerners not being able to drive when things get slippery.
Southerner here and you are so on point with that assesment. The worst drivers in the nation are southern drivers and its because we have a lot of immigrants especially these African mfs that don't know how to fuckin drive. Again I'm not blaming immigrants, but the history of fake liscences linger.....sorry not sorry!!

For once,..I agree with you on something. :) It really isn't their fault though,....they just don't have the experience when it comes to driving in it. What we take for granted and drive in every day for months at a time they have no clue how to handle. Pro tip for you southies................For real,......When coming up to a stopping situation on ice, well in advance take your car out of drive and put it in neutral. It will take the power off your tires and you will slow down and stop with no problems without sliding past.
At the end of the day, these big dick Truck driving rednecks act like they own the roads, can't stand em

Yeah, “you must have been born, raised, and live in the south, if you know what you are doing it isn’t the challenge you present,” is really confusing, not
Yes, I was born in the south, but I'm also a traveled being, after all I spent 10 years in the US Navy. The south is packed with immigrants and a lot of these ppl are not privy to snowy icy roads or being behind a auto...its maddening to see these ppl fresh off boats behind a wheels, especially these fuckin Africans.

Regulated my ass....clearly you're white. Black homeowners, black drivers are prime targets for increases when the nation experience any types of natural weather events and I got the fuckin bills to prove it. Never made a claim on my house, my car and yet.....I pay out the ass in high cost premiums, because some high end redneck chose to live in the woods or near the sea.

Just remember, to your auto insurer, you are just a zip code. Your zip code determines your rate with a particular company. Everything else is just a means to raise your rate if you fit in some category. Therefore, make sure your mailing address is in the zip code that has low rates and you're golden.

Yea, unfortunately Blacks tend to live in zip codes that have the highest insurance rates. To insurers, you are who your zip code is. That's how their actuaries determine rates for a particular area.

What they do is estimate losses for that zip code based on past loss data. They then tack on the cost of issuing and maintaining policies to that and whatever percentage of profit margin the company wants or law allows. Divide that by the number of customers with policies in that zip code and voila! Your rate is set. Everything else is just a way to raise that base rate and lots of those tack ons are SWAGPOOYA's based on bullshit not some solid evidence, data, and statistics.

For example, there is a near zero correlation between getting in accidents and getting tickets outside of accidents. That is, you can get a number of tickets and never have an accident, or you can have a number of accidents (your fault or not) and never get a ticket. But if you do get a ticket, without a shred of evidence beyond that, your insurance company will raise your rates. On the other hand, if you get in repeated accidents but they are not your fault or your insurance company doesn't pay out on them, your rate never goes up.

Insurance companies are just legalized bookies...

Agreed, however, I have been fighting that notion with the insurance companies forever. That zip code matrix is outdated and full of shit. Facts and Data will find that the poor who live in those zip codes are less likely to file insurance claims, less likely to cost the industry money...WHY? Because we not living near bodies of water, we're not living in wooded areas...we live in cities and the most we'll file claims on are fires of our homes....we're not filing claims for theft, burglaries, are cars being stolen, etc...CAUSE THAT SHIT HAPPENS ALL THE FUCKIN TIME, WE JUST DEAL WITH IT. FACTS: Insurance companies lose the most money on high-frequency, high-severity claims driven by severe weather (wind, hail, hurricanes, wildfires), auto accidents involving bodily injury, fire/lightning damage, and rising litigation/fraud. Coastal regions, wildfire zones, and areas with high repair costs dominate these massive payouts.
