Major examples included the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) expansion, the Calusa conquering southern Florida, and the Powhatan Confederacy expanding rapidly.

In the mid-19th century, particularly between 1831 and 1848, indigenous groups—most notably the Comanche, Apache, and Navajo—effectively controlled vast areas of northern Mexico, reversing Spanish colonization. They conducted large-scale raids, killing thousands, stealing immense livestock, and forcing the retreat of Mexican settlers, often operating with greater power in the region than the Mexican government.


And than along come the white man and did the same thing to the native American Indians

But no one talks about stolen land in Canada

But we were established in the same way everywhere else was. You Just have to go back much farther in time is all.

"Everyone else did it" isn't a selling point for me.

And I hold the same POV re: any people who did the same.

We can recognize actions of the past as being wrong & amoral. It's okay.

I do recognize that. But calling it stolen has NO validity in this case when the truth is IT WAS ALL TAKEN all over the world. If one is guilty,...ALL are guilty. NOT just some.

Well, for what it's worth - I didn't think she was making a very good point. There are much stronger arguments to make if someone is against the admin's policy, or the way they're enforcing that policy.
