trump demands $10 billion of taxpayer money goes to him personally

Walt

Back To Reality
trump claims he has had $10 billion stolen by the US taxpayers, and is suing the US taxpayers for $10 billion. Never mind that he never has had $10 billion in his life, so it would be impossible for him to lose $10 billion. Never mind that the information released has been released by every other president in the last half century. trump wants "his" money from us the taxpayers.

Also trump has said he is the final decider on whether he gets the money or not. he has already said whatever amount of money he demands as private citizen trump, he will approve as president trump.

Does anyone think this will slake his thirst for taxpayer money?

As usual, Walt has terminal confusion over this subject.

Trump is suing the IRS for $10 billion--an admittedly absurd figure--for the release of his tax returns and information. That is a serious legal breech, but it isn't worth $10 billion. If anything, a number of other billionaires could join this lawsuit against the IRS for that breech of information as their returns were released too.

The breech went on for several years through a law firm that was contracted by the IRS to prevent this sort of thing, among other things. They too could be held libel. Walt's version is a fiction based on delusional fantasy.

Again, not worth $10 billion, but it is a serious lawsuit for a serious reason.

Agreed Trump's statements are more often lies than not but it seems harsh to say believing him is "terminal confusion",

Walt's post was delusional. Trump, as usual, did things way over-the-top. That seems to be his style. Lies? No. Trump has good reason to sue to the IRS. He is talking smack, hyperbole, etc., about it being a $10 billion loss. That doesn't rise to a lie so much as aggrandizement and exaggeration.

He is suing the IRS for violating his rights under demthug control.

Why do you always lie?

I wonder how much the total of what he's stole from taxpayers is over the past 10 years. It's gotta be close to a trillion.

He is suing the IRS for violating his rights under demthug control.
trump was president. It was him that forced the IRS to outsource to Booz. Then it was Littlejohn, an employ at Booz that leaked it. Had trump not been president, the IRS would not have outsourced it to Booz, and trump could have kept his Russian bribes a secret.

And it will not be the IRS or trump that will pay. It will be the American taxpayers, so me and maybe even you a little.

The breech went on for several years through a law firm that was contracted by the IRS to prevent this sort of thing, among other things.
Booz, which trump forced the IRS to hire, is not a law firm. They are tech consultants who work especially with logistics. It never made sense for the IRS to be forced to hire them.

$10 billion--an admittedly absurd figure
trump is the guy on both sides of the argument who will decide whether it is absurd or not.

This is just making excuses for the leak. You are just making a post hoc ergo prompter hoc fallacy. That is, you are saying because Trump did X, Y happened. In this case, that's an absurdity.

An employee of Booz decided to front Trump off by releasing his tax returns (along with those of many other rich people). It could just as easily have been an IRS employee, a temp help employee, etc. There is zero correlation between any action Trump took and the fact that a rogue employee with access to those records took it upon himself to release them.

You offer a variant of the Fallacy of exclusive premises here. To wit:

All IRS employees are trustworthy and would not release this data.

Trump forced the hire of Booz whose employees are not IRS employees.

Therefore, because Trump forced the hire of Booz, a leak of data occurred.

This is obviously bullshit. An IRS employee could easily be just as corrupt and willing to do this breech. If the IRS needed outside tech support, they could have hired any number of companies besides Booz. That an employee at Booz was corrupt and willing to do this breech, is entirely one of chance, not prior planning or knowledge. Therefore, Trump did not have anything to do with this situation.

Trump, like anyone else affected by this leak, has the right to sue to the government for it if they feel they were harmed by it. The figure asked for is irrelevant as the court(s) will decide in the end what, if any, monetary penalty will be.

This is just making excuses for the leak.
Yes, you are making excuses for trump ordering such lax security that a leak was possible.

An employee of Booz decided to front Trump off by releasing his tax returns (along with those of many other rich people).
Yes, Littlejohn, who is serving 5 years in prison for that crime. It is interesting that the other rich people did not care. It turns out that most of their finances are already public.

It could just as easily have been an IRS employee, a temp help employee, etc.
Those have limits on the information they can access, so it would have been much more difficult. Booz got unlimited access, with no auditing.

There is zero correlation between any action Trump took and the fact that a rogue employee with access to those records took it upon himself to release them.
Well, that kills trump's case. Remember, trump is claiming that it is extreme incompetence in the management that allowed Littlejohn to get the information. If it is just the actions of one rogue employee, he has to sue a random guy serving a 5 year prison sentence. trump might be able to get $100 out of it.

If the IRS needed outside tech support, they could have hired any number of companies besides Booz.
Booz made no sense. They mostly do logistics and similar things, and have no history with agencies like the IRS. That said, they paid a bribe to trump, so they were hired.

That an employee at Booz was corrupt and willing to do this breech, is entirely one of chance, not prior planning or knowledge.
Again destroying any case trump might have.

Why do some on right support this criminal?
