The Libs are dangerous when they are in power, but the more power they lose, the goofier they seem to get. The look on Howard Dean's face Sunday at the questioning by Chris Wallace, was priceless. It was like someone hit him in his stupid face with a frying pan! But even when he was shown to be a lying ass piece of shit, he still sat there and refused to admit he was wrong! And it made me think of the goofy bitches here, who daily post their stupidity for all to see.

I don't know what the fuck happened to our society. Maybe it had something to do with upbringing, and parenting the past 30 years, but it really seems like maybe something more serious has played a role. Like maybe the hormones in our meats or chemicals in our water or something... I don't know, but it just seems like we have an abundance of people, mostly young, who are just plain stupid beyond belief.

They chase around after, and follow the 'wisdom' of these people who once were described as "IDIOTS" ...every village had at least one, you might find more in larger towns and cities, but then we invented Hollywood, now these same people are "ARTISTS" and they have a following of, mostly young, stupid people, who hinge on every word they have to say.

We have a political apparatus in power now, that can only be described as Socialist, Marxist, Communist, Fascist, and Anti-Capitalist! Yet, these stupid people are following them like they are the Pied Piper, straight into Oppressive Hell! Apparently, they have retained little education on WWI and WWII, and have no idea of how many of their grandparents generation gave their lives to defeat these same ideologies, years ago.

Since the beginning of time knowledge/information was considered "privileged". Whether it be the church/religion vs science (I'm sure you're aware of the persecution of scientists in the past) to politicians claiming they know secret/classified information not available to the general public the population just went along with the leaders.

People who don't think and just follow.

Where you're confused is the people following Obama, the people who voted for Obama, did so after thinking it through. Obama wasn't a well known figure. He didn't have "followers" like, say, McCain or Hillary.

So, what's happening to the world? People are using their education and ability to think, to reason, to come to conclusions on their own and one conclusion they have drawn is that the old way does not work.

Just like the medical plan which is far from perfect people knew changes had to be made. Some changes will be for the better and some not so much but the old way of doing things has to change.

While people talk about American innovation and ingenuity the people in positions of power do not want change. They talk about it. They say they want change but common sense tells us why would they want change when they came to their positions under the old ways? Why would they want changes to politics when they acquired their positions of power under the old system? Why would they want to change the medical system set-up when they can afford any medical procedure they desire?

Many politicians come from families which prospered under the old system. Why would they be for change? It's illogical.

What happened to the world is people have become more educated, more aware of what's happening and what has happened. They realize for every person who "makes it" there are hundreds who can't even afford a doctor's visit. They realize for every person who has acquired financial wealth under the old system there are hundreds who are going hungry in a country that produces more food than is required to feed everyone.

Just like a medical plan, ensuring services to all, is not a question of affordability. A new war plane is a question of affordability. The maintenance of a national park is a question of affordability. A road. A bridge. A parade. But not a medical plan.

The world is changing, Dixie. It appears to be changing fast but the reality of it is the change took so long to start it has a lot of catching up to do. Just as it's wrong to get ahead in life through intimidation, threats, prejudice, back room deals, etc. people realize it's also wrong to get ahead in life on the backs of the less fortunate.

It's regrettable you see decency and compassion and helping the less fortunate as some monstrous political system.

Yes it's very compassionate for government to help break-up families with its welfare policy. It's very compassionate to keep multiple generations of families on the dole. It's very compassionate to leave kids in failing schools with no opportunities to go elsewhere.

Keep multiple generations of families on the dole? It's difficult to seek employment when one has to decide between eating and buying a decent pair of pants for a job interview. Again, not exactly compassionate.

Failing schools? Again, where is the government to correct the problem. Guns? Bullying? How do they deal with that problem in wealthy neighborhoods?

Of course no one considers the kids may not be learning because they are starving due to no breakfast at home because government compassion consists of a starvation level of helping.

Yea, real compassion.

An intact family will not get half the help that a single parent gets with the same number of kids.

And the multigenerational thing is as much to do with how the system is set up (again) as it is with anything else. (certainly not a choice between starving and buying pants for a job interview) The system does not allow people to work their way off the dole. If they make an extra $100, they lost $150 or $200 in benefits. So they either have to make the jump from poor to middleclass in one step, or they stay on the dole.

It is an exaggeration, but essentially true. I have no backup other than my own experience. I availed myself of some gov't services when I went back to college. I was married with kids at the time. I do remember that a combined income of $550 a month for an intact family meant we did not qualify for medicaid or madicare.
