You know, Evie - I have been in that position professionally. Early in my career I was the nationwide auditor for this organization. I audited our field locations. Anyway - one of our VP's was fired. They fired the guy before they had a replacement. The company had just relocated me to Texas. I went into the CEO's office - I remember I had worked nights on our nationwide audit plan and war rarin' to present it to him - he literally pushed my plan - that I had worked my ass off on aside - and said, "come with me <lurch>"..

He took me into this guy's office - the guy he just fired - and said - "ok here's his old computer, here's all his materials, this is your office now, you report to me - find out what this guy did and do it. You're now the Director <of this department>". So the "department" was a multi-state operation. As the director I was responsible for everything - hiring/staffing/operations budgeting/capital budgeting/client relations.

So, I had come up against that "Peter Principle", Evie. I had no fucking clue what I was doing. So what did I do? Traveled to all locations, calmed everyone down, tried to assure them all was well and they were all in good hands. I think that's called "fake it 'till you make it".

I then next went into that guys office and read fucking everything - his documents, the proposals he was working on an those we needed to submit.. everything. And I fucking learned it! I grew that company 5x in gross revenue from the time I took it over until the time I moved on.

My point is - these goons in the trump administration - they aren't even trying!

When I read this title, Evince, I thought you were asking a question about MAGA morons.

In which case my answer would have been: "Very easy for them to be stupid because they have a huge head-start...and lots of stupid people are confident because they are stupid."
 
Some people hate edumacation

It’s because they find it confuses them

They can’t process all that information and still feel good about themselves

Instead of being clarifying for them

It overwhelms them so they revolt against more information input
