Yea, he had a right to carry a gun. He didn't have a right to resist arrest. The gun made his arrest far more dangerous in the eyes of the officers arresting him--AND WOULD HAVE REGARDLESS OF WHAT AGENCY THOSE OFFICERS WERE WITH. Pretti made the fatal error of getting involved with law enforcement while armed and then resisting arrest.
