Dems, Obama, DOJ, and Congress have all turned a blind eye
to the wretched law breaking and crimes that occurred under the Bush administration and have basically left all the tenets of the Unitary Executive in place and all the people who created the structure untouched.
So, I don't want to hear any pissing and moaning from all the "looking forward" "pragmatists" when the next morally bankrupt, financially motivated handmaiden of the International Conglomerate of Corporations vs Citizens begins the further scheduled onslaught of war, torture, and domestic rights crushing. Could be right around the corner in our next election. All the machinery is still warmed up and in place, ready for the next Dick Cheney to climb aboard and rev the engine.

Well, at last he lived in a time when people could grasp the larger concepts of "Good" and "Evil". Unfortunately, we live in a time when torture is acceptable and to voice the view that torture is acceptable, is acceptable,and to excuse people who order torture is acceptable. Our cynical post-modern media driven moral relativism has shrunken our souls so much that we are unable to acknowledge or fight evil even when it has been right in front of us for well over eight years. We shrink from the concept and attempt to cover our eyes and run past it.
So, a more modern version of his thought might be
"All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for mediocre people to do the politically expedient"
