It's totally illegal BS. We have no businesses in Iran, no embassy (that I know of). It's internal affairs are not our business, as they do not threaten any neighboring country that we have diplomatic relations with. No threat to any NATO ally.

Various powers that be (generational) have had a hard on for revenge against the countries that defied their rule and control (and in some cases whupped them in a fair fight) .... Venezuela, Iran, Cuba, and Lord knows who else. Just look up the Dulles brothers and the CIA.
But the question becomes will the US population put up with another back-door draft for a bogus military operation? And don't even THINK of the hell that would be unleashed if the words "military draft" were to start being bandied about.
