Newt is considering running

Mott the Hoople

Sweet Jane
Now that's a hoot. He's another character that if Republicans would be stupid enough to nominate would guarantee an Obama re-election even if Obama turns into a George W Bush level of a fuck up. LOL

Obama's already surpassed GWB level of fuck up. Where have you been, under a rock?
Yea right, coming from a guy who would have picked peanuts out of Bush's poop.

Give me a break. Obama hasn't even come remotely fucking close to being that level of a fuck up that W was. Hell he's spent most of his first two years having to dig us out of the deep dark hole that are W's fuck ups. Not even Jimmy Carter come close to W in the fuck up department. The only US President that can even be compared to W in the fuck up department is Warren G. Harding. Those two stand apart in their shining example of commitment to utter incompetence.

Its a "perfect storm" moment to field the most conservative candidates out there. Newt ain't in that field, IMHO.

Shit Dixie. I'm not crazy. I just go by what Professional Historians say. They rate W at #36 out of 42 Presidents. That means of the modern Presidents he's considered to be a bigger fuck up then Carter who wasn't have the fuck up that Nixon was. LOL

Time is still on his side (meaning he still has more time to fuck up, versus not), but not for long Hoopy.

You would pick watermelon seeds out of Obama's poop and try to grow a tree...

Those Obama supporters are soooooo smert! :cof1:

What you're actually suggesting in the perfect storm for the Republican party to permanently marginalize it self. Until leaders in the Republican party distance them selves from the reactionary right there going to be in the political wilderness for a long time to come.

If the Republicans are serious about winning in 2012 then Mitt is the man. The sooner they can accept that fact and build up his political machine the better their chances are. Republicans need another ideological conservative like they need a hole in their head.

If I'm willing to consider voting for Mitt then there are a lot of other centrist willing to do that too but if you want 4 more years of Obama go ahead and fool yourself into thinking American wants another wingnut conservative.

I aint exactly ready to place him on a pedestal with Washington just yet. It hasn't even been two years and the man has had enourmous obstacles from his predecessor to deal with and though he's had some significant accomplishments, he aint exactly impressed. Having said that. I aint about to lump him in with W, Carter or Nixon yet either.

You libtards always say that, and the GOP fell for it when you supported McCain during the primary season. But now that the veil has been lifted from The Obama he won't get much support except for blacks and the far left.

Mott, I would like for you to answer a questions honestly please...

Hell he's spent most of his first two years having to dig us out of the deep dark hole that are W's fuck ups.

Can you cite some of these 'deep dark holes' that Obama has dug us out of?

Dixie, the country was in horrific shape when Obama took over. We could argue all day about whether or not GW was responsible for some or all of that, but there is no arguing the plain fact that the country was in absolutely terrible shape.

Can we please stop picking on the great Warren G. Harding? The man single-handedly brought us out of the postwar recession and into one of the largest economic booms in US history. He was also committed to peace and non-intervention, balancing the budget, and whatnot. Hell, he even pardoned Eugene Debbs and let the guy out of prison, demonstrating his committment to transforming a thoroughly "Wilsoned" America.

As for his major blemish, Teapot Dome, just try and compare that to other scandals, such as Watergate, Whitewater, the stuff that happened under Grant, all the crap that Kennedy and Johnson were pulling, the stunts pulled off by the CIA during the Truman and Ike years, and so forth. At best, TD ranks alongside the Petticoat Affair under Jackson.

This is also not the first time you have referenced Harding as being a bad president. This is one area where presidential historians continue to confuse the fuck out of me on. Everything they use to condemn Harding is both vague and completely overlooked when examining other presidents. Its like he gets his own set of rules and the other 43 presidents have a separate set.

a guy who can only pick peanuts out of Bush's poop will still be able to beat Obama in 2012.........Obama has fucked this country up more than all the presidents this country has ever had, combined......and he's accomplished it in only a year and a half......

and yet Obama managed to fuck it up even worse, didn't he......

I don't even know how someone who reads the news at all - even the most sporadic amount - could arrive at this conclusion.

We are most certainly not "worse" than we were in January of 2009. How could any intelligent person even make that kind of claim?

Here is an updated ranking of the 39 rankable US Presidents, as judged by me (Does not include Obama, the sitting president, nor does it rank Cleveland as two presidents. Also not included are WH Harrison, Taylor, and Garfield):

01. George Washington
02. James Monroe
03. Abraham Lincoln
04. Ronald Reagan
05. Dwight D. Eisenhower
06. Calvin Coolidge
07. Warren G. Harding
08. Chester A. Arthur
09. William H. Taft
10. George H.W. Bush
11. William J. Clinton
12. Benjamin Harrison
13. James K. Polk
14. Thomas Jefferson
15. Theodore Roosevelt
16. Millard Fillmore
17. William McKinley
18. John Adams
19. Gerald R. Ford
20. John Q. Adams
21. Franklin D. Roosevelt
22. Rutherford B. Hayes
23. Harry Truman
24. Grover Cleveland
25. John F. Kennedy
26. George W. Bush
27. James Madison
28. Martin Van Buren
29. Jimmy Carter
30. Richard Nixon
31. Lyndon B. Johnson
32. Woodrow Wilson
33. Andrew Jackson
34. Herbert Hoover
35. Andrew Johnson
36. Ulysses S. Grant
37. Franklin Pierce
38. James Buchanan
39. John Tyler*

Tyler is primarily ranked last because he committed treason by joining the Southern Confederacy and getting elected to its Congress. Any president who commits such an action should automatically be dropped to the bottom. Furthermore, he had a weak presidency, and he contributed to the decline of the Whig Party.
