Richard Wolff is peak entertainment: Ivy-educated, Ivy-employed, and worshipped as a genius by the very cultists who think profit is a sin. Go binge his lectures - it's basically a masterclass in your religion.
As for Putin? The media drones call him a 'hard-right nationalist' because they think nationalism itself is a slur. In reality he's an authoritarian statist with neo-imperialist wet dreams, wrapped in Russian Orthodox tradition, seething anti-Western resentment, and a delusional vision of Russia as a superior 'civilization.' He's spent decades trashing Marxists and communists - but funny enough, his playbook lines up way closer to modern Democrats than Republicans: massive state control of the economy, endless anti-American/anti-imperialist screeching, and that cozy nostalgia for Soviet 'greatness' without the pesky class-struggle part.
Try cracking a book sometime. Preferably one not written by Wolff.
