AI makes it money mostly on subscription services and in some cases advertising (easily filtered).
For example:
* Closed caption services on video broadcasts no longer require some human to type as people talk on the show. It's automated. TV stations and others buy this subscription service.
* It's possible to build driverless taxi services, such as Waymo and for use as airport shuttles (a repetitive route). People pay to use the taxis.
* It reduces workload of airline pilots, by automating navigation and even updating radio channels automatically as the flight progresses. Airlines pay to equip their aircraft in this way.
* It provides automated audio driven command systems such as Alexa and Google Home (Amazon seems to be currently winning in this market!). People buy these devices and even sometimes buy skills for them.
* It provides better monitoring of your own house for security purposes. People buy these subscription services and the security system.
* It will support the soon to be released general purpose home robots, allowing them to navigate and learn tasks around the house. People will be buying and leasing these robots.
* Better general purpose AI engines such as ChatGPT than you can get by using the free version. This is a paid subscription.
