We are talking about men in their 50's through 70's. It might be technically legal in some states for them to have sex with a 16 year old, but given the illegal leverage they often are getting probably not even technically legal. Even if technically legal, these are people who should never be in government.

Younger women haven't held much appeal in years.
I am 65 years old. My oldest daughter is 39 years old.
But that is not the biggest reason I don't chase young women. They are clueless! It is not their fault. They have not had many years of adulthood to learn the nuances of life.
Give me a woman over 45 or 50. They know what is what. They know what they want. And they can carry on a conversation.
