There is no declaration of war.

Terrorists are not covered by the GC.

Agreed. Better to legalize, tax and regulate. Most people dying of fentanyl don't even know they are taking fentanyl. they think they are taking Oxycodone.

Which brings up another thought; How is blowing up boats full of cocaine stopping the flow of fentanyl into the United States? Shouldn't Trump be bombing the homes of Mexican cartel leaders and their facilities?

Exactly. But there is too much at stake. They'd rather keep the money and jobs flowing, damn the addicts.

Agreed. Most Americans are turning against Trump and his MAGAts for multiple reasons. Murdering people on the high seas, arrests of American citizens and the economy are just some of the reasons.

Only a nutjob would go after a politician, such as sending threatening letters or, worse, seeking to harm them.

OTOH, some asshole neighbor with a Trump flag in his yard, Trump stickers all over his crappy car and who supports the violent overthrow of our Republic in favor of a Trumpian autocracy could easily end up having "accidents" such as flat tires, a rock through their window or falling off their porch. Unless they end up dead or there is a witness to a crime, the police won't do anything. Sad.

The War on Drugs has been going on since Nixon with nothing to show for it except greater profits for the Cartels. Just like Prohibition gave rise to the Mafia, the WoD has given rise to the cartels....many of which have more money than many small nations.

Like the oil companies are against electric cars, the alcohol and tobacco companies are against legalizing drugs. They shape it like a "moral" decision, but as you mentioned, it's all about the money.

If there is profit, someone will provide. I am sure we all know many huge American fortunes are building from drug money.
You have to deal with the demand. Better drug education, more and better rehab and health support for the druggies is a good first step.
