The claim that has been made is not that the New Black Panthers are racists. They are racists. Real ones. If that were a crime and the DoJ dropped a case against the New Black Panthers for violating the law that made racism illegal I could understand what all the hubbub is about. But being a racist is not a crime. So I'm not exactly clear what that video has to do with anything.
Your post was about the DoJ employing racially-biased decision-making. I'm saying that this phony racist DoJ meme is not "real racism." It's the typical bullshit that white Republican types like yourself get all apoplectic about while you ignore real racial issue like the grossly disproportionate arrest rates among black people for marijuana possession.

A crime was committed and the DOJ dropped a won case, because the defendants are blacks who hate whites.
First, no crime was committed. In fact, the DoJ under Mukasey, Bush's appointee, elected to file a civil complaint and did not bring any criminal charges.
Second, the DoJ dropped the case against some of the Defendants but not all of them. With respect to the one defendant that had the night stick, the DoJ got an injunction against him, which was all the relief the Bush's DoJ wanted.
Third, the case was dropped against the other defendants because the DoJ determined that there was insufficient evidence to support the complaint. Specifically, not a single voter eligible to vote at this particular precinct came forward claiming that they were prevented from voting or were intimidated.
Lastly, it is not a crime for black people to hate white people just like it's not a crime for white people to hate black people. The fact that these guys hate white people, while I understand it gives you the vapors, is no reason to prosecute them for anything.
We nearly had a problem in the last election when somebody showed up in an Obama shirt and we told them they either had to turn it inside out or change the shirt before we could let them in. They were acting as if that was only for them, until just seconds later in walks a voter with a republican candidate shirt (It wasn't McCain, it was for one of the state offices) and I told them the same thing...
