Yes.

They are well known liars, but mostly about themselves. When it comes to military operations, communications equipment and the Laws of War, they are completely clueless, as this and other threads demonstrate. MAGAts ain't too bright. This is their biggest weakness.

You'd think being 15 feet away from an high explosive incendiary strike, the two survivors treading water would have had their ear drums blown out and were too wounded and disoriented to be coordinating reinforcements.

The survivors were treading water and clinging to the burning remains of a wreck.

Assuming their ear drums weren't blown out, and their brains weren't suffering concussion, I don't think sat phones are meant to be submerged in salt water or exposed to fire.
