Life's little contradiction

What made them leftists? I mean, you think Mussolini who called himself a fascist was a leftist?!
They all espouse(d) as their political goals to create a completely socialist society with government as the be-all, end-all, of social dictates. They want(ed) everything the Progressive Left argues we should have today like:

Taxing the snot out of "The Rich." That is wealth confiscation and redistribution as the government sees fit.
Doing away with capitalists and capitalism
Universal government run education, healthcare, housing, etc.
Public transit run by government with few alternatives
Quashing of free speech, political dissent, abolition of religion (unless it is state run), freedom of association, etc.
A government run economic system.
Ridding society of those that are deemed 'different' or having ideas or principles that conflict with government goals.

We can start with that.

As opposed to the Moral Majority, or the Tea Party or the New Conservatives or MAGA or Libertarians? Last time I checked, Progressives aren't trying to erase the FDR New Deal, which essentially made life so much better for even brain dead Maga trolls like you.
How did the New Deal "...make life so much better?"

Mussolini was an enemy of socialism.
Yea, sure...

Mussolini simply wanted a different variant of socialism as a fascist, but it doesn't change he wanted socialism.

so...fascism=socialism. No historian would agree.
Only on the Left is there that argument because the Left doesn't want to own up to fascism being one of their own. They're already saddled with virtually every other form of onerous, oppressive, dictatorial, overbearing government so they want at least one form they can point to as their whipping boy.

You versus the entire political science establishment. Have at it.
I already provided many links that show you are fucking wrong 100%. There are plenty of well-researched papers out there that show fascism is just a variant of socialism. In fact, most Leftist sites trying to point out the differences resort to semantics and grammatical gymnastics to make the two different.

These two, for example, use weasel words to try and make the two different when all they do in reality is say the same exact thing in both cases, just with different words.

Go for it! Try and show me how the two differ beyond fascism being nationalistic and many other forms of socialism being internationalistic.
