Sybil is a schizo so, yes, agreed. You're hopeless.
Impartial, unmediated, and ontological truth cannot be apprehend by the human mind, with the possible exception of mathematics.Belief does not cause truth.
I've always thought internet message boards attract weirdos, schizos, psychos the way pig shit attracts flies!Sybil is a schizo so, yes, agreed.
OTOH, @gmark77 is a retard. Equally hopeless but in a different direction. Whereas Sybil's fake forum indicates intelligence simply to put it together, he's crazier than a bedbug. Perry is just a retarded dumbass. Sad.
^^ Incoherent. At the time Proverbs was written, the Israelites had no distinct concept of heaven, a spiritual afterlife, or resurrectionWell, I guarantee kenniving douchebags don't. Who does that cut out?

Bible Gateway passage: Proverbs 6 - King James Version
My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger, Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth. Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and...www.biblegateway.com
LOL Yes, there's that element. The nutjobs standing on streetcorners screaming about "the Deep State" or "the End is near" moved to the Internet where they are safe from being pelted with rotten tomatoes and rocks.I've always thought internet message boards attract weirdos, schizos, psychos the way pig shit attracts flies!
Actually, this idea makes the most sense to me. Just as God is "infinitely old", so too is the universe that he has always existed inside of. Otherwise, where is God existing, exactly? How does one exist outside of everywhere? There are really only three explanations for the existence of the universe:
1) The universe is infinitely old, and does not require creation (this idea can be dismissed on the basis of logic and science).
I have a very hard time believing that 'nothing' created 'something'.2) Matter and energy came into existence from nothing, because of inanimate physical causes (this idea is incoherent).
How does something exist outside of everywhere?3) Something outside the universe is responsible for it's origination and it's lawful mathematical organization.
If the universe was infinitely old we would have had to traverse an infinite amount of time to arrive at today. That is logically incoherent because in an infinitely old universe today would never have gotten here.Actually, this idea makes the most sense to me.
Me too.I have a very hard time believing that 'nothing' created 'something'.
The immaterial does not require space, time, or matter. In other words, the immaterial isn't limited to the spatial and temporal dimensions of this universe. How does something exist outside of everywhere?
Maybe only the observable portion of the universe is finite (while some or all non-observable portions are infinite)? If the universe was infinitely old we would have had to traverse an infinite amount of time to arrive at today. That is logically incoherent because in an infinitely old universe today would never have gotten here.
Right. The immaterial does not require space, time, or matter.
What if this universe includes dimensions that aren't spatial and/or temporal? In other words, the immaterial isn't limited to the spatial and temporal dimensions of this universe.
Actually, Hugo. It does.Belief does not cause truth.
Why? You are not the Universe. If the universe was infinitely old we would have had to traverse an infinite amount of time to arrive at today.
It doesn't need to. It's already here. That is logically incoherent because in an infinitely old universe today would never have gotten here.
Yes it is. There is no other universe, by definition.Me too.
The immaterial does not require space, time, or matter. In other words, the immaterial isn't limited to the spatial and temporal dimensions of this universe.
Several problems with tthis:Maybe only the observable portion of the universe is finite (while some or all non-observable portions are infinite)?
Right.
What if this universe includes dimensions that aren't spatial and/or temporal?
Don't know who you are, Hugo?Whoever they are.
Once you learn English, Hugo. You should probably learn to read. If nothing else, Richard Dawkins has written a lot of material significant to the conversation here. Why do I have to care about every author someone on the forum mentions?
