I pointed out long ago that the 1000 capacity number is easily seen to be a lie.....it is at least double that. Also I have long suspected that it might never be built.

Well I doubt that the oligarchs who run America allow Trump to stick around much longer....I doubt this monstrosity ever gets built.

Sad but probably true. He keeps wanting to make it bigger, which according to the architects violates a first rule of design: don't let the new structure dominate the old.

The WH is 55K sq ft and the current ballroom plans are 90K sq ft seating 900 people, IIRC, and the Dementia Don has asked about making it bigger to seat almost 1200 people and to hold inaugurations.
