People should study this guy’s observations of his own country in the 1930s and 1940s. How an otherwise educated, cultured, and civilized country could devolve to the point of committing the brutal atrocities they did. And it wasn’t Hitler, Goering or any of the elites committing those crimes against humanity. It was the baker, the tailor the store owner down the street.
He called it collective stupidity, but had nothing to do with education or IQ. It was the choice to give up one’s fundamental ability to think for one’s self.
