Most atheists know more about Christianity than Christians do. That’s because they’ve actually examined the religion and found it too preposterous to accept. That’s in contrast to most Christians who just accept it on blind faith.

Christianity is the belief that Jesus was the Jewish Messiah, who died to save you from your sins! Period

They thought he was the Messiah until he got killed. That fucked things up for them because Messiahs aren’t supposed to die. Then, they had to start inventing shit to explain that little boo boo.

Sin is a theological concept. I have never sinned.

But the idea of a human sacrifice to save people from their sins is absurd and fails critical thought. An actual omni-everything god doesn’t need to murder someone to save souls. He can simply forgive.

When it comes to religion, you have abandoned any critical thinking skills you may have ever possessed. It is difficult and uncomfortable, I’m sure. I don’t recall when I no longer believed in Santa Claus, but I’m sure it was distressing for awhile. The truth does sometimes suck.
