Obama v. ????

Jeb Bush certainly isn't one of them.....

He endorsed him for Governor. Jeb might actually oppose him now as his criticism of Crist is very accurate, but it did not come until after he split the party.

http://saintpetersblog.com/2010/05/...nizes-his-life-around-his-personal-ambitions/

“It’s all about him,” Bush says. “It’s not about anything else. .  .  . Governor Crist organizes his life around his personal ambitions. .  .  . He doesn’t have a set of guiding principles to share with people. This is a year where people want you to say what your core beliefs are, and painting in brighter, bolder colors instead of pastels is the way to go. Which is very encouraging to me personally.”

...

This is 100% true. Crist is a job seeker. He doesn't care about anything but himself. He even hides his sexuality, while opposing equality for homosexuals, all to improve his chances for gaining office. If the Dems are stupid enough to buy his act, then they will get what they deserve.

In many ways, yes I lean libertarian. However, that party has yet to field a candidate locally or nationally that I could vote for.

That's probably because the candidates are most likely average american people. Pissed off enough to put their name on the ballot.

Personally I don't want a Ron Paul. I'm not anti-gay, just don't want 'special rights' for any group. I'm against abortion but that's not political as much as ethical for me. I'm pro-immigration, against illegal immigration. I'm against the 'round them up and send them back' mentality, it would bankrupt the country. I'm also against amnesty.

I'll spend some time looking at all those videos, though because of hearing loss, I really like being able to read positions. Thanks though for the head's up on Johnson.

Why would you bring up anti-gay? What's that all about?

A lot of conservatives dismiss the idea, but I think Palin is setting herself up for a strong primary run; she could realistically be the candidate.

There is no one else that is that strong right now, imo. But who would have figured Obama in '08? You never know what's going to happen & who will elevate their game when the primaries roll around...

and likely to lose - look at her numbers

Are you sure that you're not a Libertarian?

I don't like Palin. But it's kind of personal.

She indorses the Marxist McCain, She supported Perry who want's to personally proffit off mandating my daughters get shots, and she acts like she's part of the tea party movement when she's not.
The Libertarian party is one of the most indescribably incapable parties ever, they do not work to get elected, they work only to make a point but are so easy to ignore they don't even do that well. I may lean libertarian, but the Libertarian party makes themselves obsolete, they don't even try to participate well.

Crist running as an Independent ends any chance that he'll ever get the R nomination next Presidential Election Cycle. It won't happen.

That's merely stage one of the platform. We're currently in stage two. Think of it as the wolf in sheeps clothing.

You make it sound as if they need people like you in it.

I would say that that is true, and they need people like you to make things happen Damocles!

You're right, it's a bunch of people that really need your leadership.

It's right there. Just make it happen.

As if, I'd never pass their purity test to become even a candidate. Nobody can circle up a firing squad like the Libertarian Party can.

That's not true at all.

I'd be shocked if you couldn't get on the ballot in Colorodo. That is if your state has an active Libertarian party.

When you say, "I'd never pass their purity test", you make it sound as if it's a country club.

If you're a Marxist you will find problems, but you seem to be quite different than that.

Are you kidding? I've been to their convention. There is without a doubt a purity test. And when they do get past it they put forward uber-religious idiots that even the R party wouldn't vote for. It's embarrassing.

WOW! What a shock.

I've never had a problem getting on the ballot in my state, and there's people of all views here. Things seem to be much different in your state.

I think the disconnect is you are talking about dog catchers and Congresspeople (who also usually have no shot at winning) while I am speaking about their chances as a national party with any umph whatsoever. You either get Badnarick who thinks that a driver's licenses are unnecessary, or you get Bob Barr. Neither of which could ever be taken even slightly seriously. When they try to be "pragmatic" they still pick nonsense. I mean, Bob Barr? WTF?

That's exactly what I said, and say. But what should Libertaians do? I liked Brown, but things have gotten a bit crazy as time has gone by.

All I know is that the republican-democratic candidates are evil, or at least have been. Barr is no better though.

I would like to say this about Bob Barr... He is one of the few politicians I have had the pleasure of spending a great deal of one-on-one time with. He was in a very heated political contest in my district when I lived in Georgia, and I covered his 'town hall' meetings. He is the only politician I have ever known, that I had the sense he really was concerned with what his constituency had to say, their problems and concerns, and most of the time, he had a viewpoint on how to pragmatically approach a solution. He's a very smart and articulate man, with some very good ideas and principles. The problem is, he is similar to Newt, he tends to say things that sound bad in 5-sec soundbites. If you listen to his entire speech, and what he is saying overall, he makes some very legitimate points and has some interesting and fresh ideas at how to approach the problems. He's certainly not the 'extremist' people in the media have made him out to be, but people in America tend to believe the Jon Stewart's these days.

You're singing to the choir here. I agree.

Better avatar.

That's because you're enjoying my money that you voted youself. I bet one day soon you have to get a job and take care of yourself, as all this money won't hold up the welfare system you are now enjoying.
