The Trump DoJ is completely incompetent.

The first instance is probably the most famous.

Sandwich guy.

They sent a heavily armed swat team to arrest him and then posted the video on the whitehouse X site.

They tried to charge him with a felony but couldn't get a grand jury to do it.

Finally, when they tried to convict him of a misdemeanor the jury found that no one was actually in danger as required by the law they tried to use.
But that sandwich is deadly!! High in saturated fats, sodium through the roof, and who knows how much added sugar!!

Those things will kill you!!

You know, eventually... if you eat enough of them over a few decades...

OH!! O got it!! He could have choked!

It seems you don't quite understand what a jury is.
When a case is dismissed before it even gets to trial there is no jury. When the prosecutor moves to drop the case, it isn't the fault of some LW judge.
He's just trying to defend the indefensible, as usual. These tRumplings don't really know how anything works.

There have been so many instances of the Trump Dept of Justice filing charges or attempting to file charges and then failing miserably when the actual facts come out I decided to start a thread to make a record of some of those failures.
Competence is the LAST attribute one needs to be on the trump team. Second to last is patriotism. The only attribute that matters? "Jump" when trump tells you!

There is no more DOJ - only a right-wing hit squad that cares nothing about keep America safe.

I was musing with Damo that the sandwich-thrower should be charged with a war crime because mustard is so hard to get out!

The Trump DOJ, is not about justice, but it's about settling old scores with Trump political enemies.
They've fired so many career prosecutors, the rest have quit in protest - there is no more DOJ. It's going to take years to fix what the trump cult has destroyed.

I have been saying for years now that the Dem or lefts biggest super power is Magat stupidity and that is proven.

You have magat media and magats on this forum like @T. A. Gardner and @FastLane and many others proclaiming how this 'Special Investigation' or this 'indictment', or this 'trial' is going to definately nail these dirty criminal Dems. They will tell you the criminality is so obvious that the Dems will plead out rather than face a trial they cannot win.

And yet for decades now going back to Nixon, the GOP prior, and Magat now, attempts to prosecute fail in laughable ways at rates we have never seen a DoJ fail prior and in ways they have not failed prior (cannot even get indictments against ham sandwiches). Trump judges, Bush judges, judges of all stripes laugh them out of court.

This then leads the same Magats crying against the 'process' or 'corrupt judges', instead of looking at Magat incompetence being behind 99% of the failures.

Meanwhile Democrats opening investigations and going for indictments in the same time frame pile them so high, whether it be Trump judges or other, that it would take pages to list them all. And that is because Dems are competent and smart.

It really is that simple. We win because we are smart and they lose because they are the 'poorly educated'.

Oh and also the right, generally, is corrupt and immoral as fuck. So that too.

I have the sneaking feeling that these "mistakes" aren't actually mistakes at all. I suspect he's using the DOJ the same way he used Cohen and other shysters -- to bully, to intimidate, to censor, to punish. The intent isn't to win a case. It's to scare and deter those who would point and declare that the obese emperor is naked.

Then just today they have filed to drop the charges in at least three other cases.

First is Dana Briggs.

Briggs was charged with violently striking a federal officer. Here is the video. The complaint says that when Briggs was passing his cell phone to another person he violently hit an officer in the process. Look for yourself.

Then after setting a trial date of Nov 20 and going through the jury instructions, witness lists and all other pretrial preperation, the government filed to dismiss all charges on Nov 20 before the start of the trial.

Since when do they care about assaulting police officers? J6, anyone?

It is a bit of both.

Trump is delusional and stupid.

So even though we have tons of evidence often of him scheming on ways to get around the law, while breaking, meaning he knows what he is doing is illegal or improper, when he then gets busted for it after and faces consequences (impeachment or trial) i do believe he is able to convince himself that he did nothing wrong and any attempt to hold him to account is BS.

So when he is actually impeached or convicted or found liable, he feels it was done on BS charges.

That has lead Trump to believe (hope) his BS charges can and will also convict, impeach, etc, his enemies and when they fail he then has to tell himself another lie about corrupt judges.

But even without success he will take the intimidation factor and time and cost, as the only thing he can really get.

His entire life has involved using money and lawyers to fuck over other people and to keep himself out of trouble.
