Midterm election results question

A "successful impeachment" removes the impeached person from office. A failure is when the impeached person remains in office. The Democrats failed to impeach Trump twice.
WRONG.

A successful impeachment is when the individual is impeached...whether he is later found guilty or not guilty (conviction or acquittal).

Why are you having such trouble understanding the definition of impeachment? It means charge or accusation, not removal.

Impeachment is the process by which a government official, such as the President, is charged with misconduct or a crime by a legislative body, typically leading to a trial and potential removal from office. In the United States, this process begins in the House of Representatives and, if successful, moves to the Senate for a trial. Merriam-Webster Wikipedia
The trial is part of the process. Successful impeachment means removal from office.

What you are claiming is akin to saying someone charged with murder is a murderer even if they are acquitted at trial.

No, what I'm saying is that someone charged with a crime has still been charged, even if acquitted... unless they take steps to have the charge expunged from the record.

He wasn't. But the Democrats did nothing about him breaking his oath of office, particularly on the subject of immigration. He failed, and failed massively, to uphold US law as he swore an oath to do.
Weren't the Republicans in charge of the House? If Biden had violated his oath, which you provide no evidence for, it would have been incumbent upon them to start the impeachment.

Unlike the Democrats, the Republicans had the good sense to know that an impeachment wasn't happening if the Democrats weren't onboard. Doing it as a futile political gesture like the Democrats and Left love, is just a worthless expenditure of energy for nothing.

So it's exactly like I said. They don't give a damn about the actual facts of the case.

No, as usual, you are lying to protect Daffy Donald. The House impeaches. The Senate does not. If the impeachment is successful, the Senate is mandated to hold a trial.

You still are stuck on stupid i see.

The impeachment is already a "Success" as it then moves to the Senate for a seperate function. That Senate function does not undue the "success" of the House impeachment if they fail to convict. It was already a "success" and the POTUS remains an Impeached president for the history books.

Note below. Only the House Impeaches. The Senate does not impeach and the Senate does not undue the House impeachments.

AI Overview

The House's impeachment process is considered a "success" and is defined by its constitutional function of bringing charges, not by removing the president.

The House successfully carries out its part of the impeachment process by approving articles of impeachment.
  • The House fulfills its role: The House of Representatives has the sole power to impeach, which is a political accusation that the president has engaged in wrongdoing. If the House votes to impeach, it has successfully completed its constitutional responsibility.
  • Conviction is a separate process: A failure in the Senate to convict does not impact the impeachment finding in the House as that finding and vote remains regardless.
