Obama v. ????

A lot of conservatives dismiss the idea, but I think Palin is setting herself up for a strong primary run; she could realistically be the candidate.

There is no one else that is that strong right now, imo. But who would have figured Obama in '08? You never know what's going to happen & who will elevate their game when the primaries roll around...

I believe she's trying to. She's attempting to get TEA Party people to believe she's with them. I just don't think she'll get it. Stranger things have happened though.

I would agree.... though if the GOP does nominate her... then they deserve the complete and total ass kicking that will follow.

Both parties have a very proud recent history of throwing up bad candidates against an incumbent. Mondale, Dole & Kerry come to mind. Even Clinton, as a candidate, was fairly weak, with more baggage than any party nominee for Prez should really have.

I don't expect to see a very strong candidate out of the GOP, especially with the TEA influence, but you never know.

I thought you drill baby party guys liked Palin?

I disagree with you, she has no chance of getting the nomination, I agree with you that if she did, she would lose worse than Mondale.

She definitely has a chance. The TEA folks love her, and it will likely be their energy that will drive the GOP primaries in 2012.

Most of the time, we see primary voters try to play it smart & go for "electability" (recent example would be Kerry winning at the last minute over Dean). I have a hunch that GOP primary voters will smell some blood in the water on Obama, and go for more of a damn the torpedo's, no more compromising kind of approach.

If they do, Palin is the favorite, and could definitely get the nod. It would be a pretty entertaining election, but I hope they go for someone better.

As long as we are hoping, I hope both parties go for someone better...

Maybe Ron Paul v. Kucinich....

I was going to ask why you guys were giving up on Romney.

Other than he likes Obamacare.

Here are the major players for the GOP nomination. I'd think it's safe to assume Romney is the front runner.

former MA Gov. Mitt Romney
Florida Gov. Charlie Crist;
former House speaker Newt Gingrich;
former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani;
former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee;
Lousiana Gov. Bobby Jindal;
Texas Congressman Ron Paul;
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin;
Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty;
South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford

I like Crist and would likely vote for him, the TEA party hates him. Paul is okay also.

I belive Crist would have a chance given that he is well positioned as an outsider who is beyond party politics, if he could get the nod.

former MA Gov. Mitt Romney v. Obama .... Close but Obama wins.
Florida Gov. Charlie Crist; .... Crist wins.
former House speaker Newt Gingrich; .... Obama blowout!
former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani; .... Obama win.
former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee; .... Obama blowout.
Lousiana Gov. Bobby Jindal; ..... Obama blowout.
Texas Congressman Ron Paul; ..... Obama Blowout.
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin; .... Obama Blowout.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty; .... Too close to call.
South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford .... Obama win.

Charlie Crist? Are you fucktards SERIOUS??? The guy can't even win the Republican nomination as an INCUMBENT! But you think he has some kind of a chance to win the GOP nomination for president? What the hell are they putting in your crack pipes these days???

How about NJ Governor Chris Christie? I think that guy is the future of the GOP.

Palin might put her name in the hat, and if she does well, she might just beat Obama in the general. But, if she gets out there and runs a tight race with several others, I think she would drop out of the race and endorse one of them instead.

Whoever wins the GOP nomination will have a stellar chance of beating Obama.... last check, Paris Hilton's little dog was polling higher than Obama!

if mitt was a protestant, he would likely wipe the floor with obama

I think its silly to assume that Giuliani and Huckabee will be in this time. Jindal will definitely make his first appearance, and I assume Pawlenty will as well. Also, Paul will probably pass the torch off to Johnson of NM this time. I think Duncan Hunter will be a stronger candidate who gets off the ground this time.
