Lincoln was always poor, Truman had to ask Congress for a raise to afford his clothing and personal travel.

Lincoln was never wealthy, his wife had to sell furniture to rent a home after he died.

One of my sons earns four (4) times that much…and he doesn’t want to be president…too much loss of income.

No, you are. You said "All Americans" should decide. That's mob rule. It's what happened in the French Revolution and that led to almost two decades of war. That's what happened in Russia in 1917 that resulted in the Soviet Union, the second most brutal dictatorship of the 20th Century (behind the Chinese Revolution of 1946).

You're lack of historical knowledge, understanding of English, places you as a liberal arts major in a useless degree field at some major university.
